Welcome to the HDCPC website

We would like to encourage newcomers to the sport of clay pigeon shooting to come along and try out our DTL (Down The Line) and ABT (Automatic Ball Trap) facilities at our shooting ground.

Experienced shooters are also welcome and many of our competitions are SCTA registered events.  There are also a few 50 target competitions for the less adventurous!

All shoots including practices are now in STEEL or non-lead shot only.

Steel Cartridges

Cartridges will be available at the ground from Sandy Gall.  It should be noted that they are from personal stock and will therefore be available in small numbers for visitors, beginners and other shooters who don't have shotgun certificates.  Regular steel shooters and local members should buy direct from suppliers such as R.MacLeod & Son (Tain), Trap & Field Supplies (Lhanbryde) or other stockist.

Next Shoot (5th February 2012) - 50DTL Willie Elliot Trophy

The next shoot is a 50DTL for the Willie Elliot Trophy.  There will also be a side trap running.  Entries will be taken from 10:00-12:00.

Winter Series 2012

The Winter Series will be the same format as previous years (best 6 scores from 9 shoots). The prize fund should still hopefully be £500 if the DTL Winter Series is well enough supported.  There will also be trophies for High Gun, Ladies, Juniors, Veterans and Novices for each of the 50DTL shoots and the overall class winners at the end of the series.

The ABT Winter Series will continue on the 26th January 2012 and the best 2 scores from 3 shoots will count.
